The North Woodward Community Foundation held its sixth annual Summer Nights fundraiser on Friday, June 8, 2007 at Club Venetian Banquet Center, in Madison Heights.  The  theme was “Summer Nights Rio” and Club Venetian was transformed into a South American style party called “carnivale”.

Troy Dance Studio performed two fantastic Latin floorshows and smooth Brazilian music played throughout the evening for everyone’s listening and dancing pleasure.  Club Venetian surpassed our expectations with a delicious array of hors d’ oeuvres, entrees and desserts sprinkled with the Latin flavors. Our themed specialty drinks were a hit throughout the evening along with the open bar.  The entire experience proved to be a treat for all of the senses.

The proceeds from this event were divided to support three outstanding programs that benefit many members of the area communities by promoting independent living.  The organizations included On My Own of Michigan, Recording For the Blind & Dyslexic and SHARP (Senior Home Assistance Repair Program).
